2025-2026 StopHunger Volunteer Application

SopHunger is a program that works to give students the opportunity to combat food insecurity here in our Buffalo community. We work to bring our community together for a joint effort that brings nutritious and reliable meals to families by collecting food; creating videos of healthy, affordable meals that families can make together; and creating meal packages that are delivered to families.

Our Timeline:

  1. October: Surveying areas of our community to see which areas need the greatest focus.
  2. November-December: Food drives; community-wide events where we create meal packages from the food donated; creating videos of healthy, affordable meals.
  3. January: Spread our impact through community-wide events where we invite community members to share our project’s results, videos, and engage more families into the fight against hunger!
  4. February-March: Visit local schools to host events (bring meal baskets, teach about nutrition through presentations or crafts for younger students, speak at assemblies about ways students can help or where they can go for help) combating food insecurity.

We are currently looking for student volunteers to be part of this program. If you would like to join us and become a part of our team as a volunteer, sign up today!
